To Ecademy or not to Ecademy?

That is the question - and I just cannot decide. What it boils down to is that, to join this illustrious band of networkers, I have to pay money. Now I'm very happy to cough up when necessary for a useful service, and I'm sure Ecademy is exactly that, but that's not the point. Right at the moment I can barely keep up with the number of "free" social networking facilities I'm using, and I believe these are only going to increase in both reach and functionality over the coming months and years. With this in mind, are there really any additional benefits I could get from a paid service, and - most importantly - would I be able to devote sufficient attention to get my money's worth? In all honesty I just don't know. When I was talking to Plaxo last year I did raise thsi question with them - how exactly are you going to make money? I wasn't convinced at what they said then, and neither am I absolutely sure about what Ecademy can offer me, now.
I'll keep on thinking about it - but for the time being I'm afraid I'm going to have to go for the "when in doubt, do nowt" school of decision making.
