Mobility is seasonal

Thought for the day:
Mobility is seasonal. The idea of sitting alongside the canal right now, in the mud and the gales, fills me with horror. Still, I can sit in the car and at least look at the canal. Which I'm doing.
Actually, I wonder if mobility is really about mobility at all. An animated discussion with Cisco a few months ago led to the phrase "mobility is ubiquity" - in oher words, you can be as mobile as the technology lets you be. At the moment, for example, I am most certainly text-mobile - over my GPRS connection I can update my blog (first time in a while), download my email headers and generally function. I'm hardly graphics-mobile, however, and I'm certainly not media-mobile.
Text is good.
