Weird is not a good place to start
Invoking fear, and that which keeps us apart
So, cloaking our true selves
Pretending to be smart
Choking on our thoughts and what lies in our hearts
Stolen are the memories that make us
Forgotten is the trauma that still breaks us
A rotten core, layered over with denial
Not to cure, but to keep us from arrival
How to change?
How to break this vicious cycle?
Of two paths, one less travelled but more vital
Maybe, you can embrace the child within?
Take baby steps and find the path
The truth is in your grasp
