Do we, can we
Choose the archetypes that we become
At what point loss
Or is it far beneath the depths of our existence
That we must somehow plumb
Where goes the child, and from whence
Do the actors in our play emerge
Though none might see them coming
Fully formed and somehow unperturbed
To take the roles they’ve won
